Entries
- Only prints are accepted, not slides. Prints must be mounted on card, with member's name and date of the picture on the back. There will be a practical session during the April meeting. Materials cost will be met from members' contributions. See mounting for materials and suppliers.
- Minimum print size is 48 square inches (can be any shape, but usually 8×6), maximum size 96 square inches (usually 8×12).
- Pictures must have been taken not more than two years before the competition date. They must not have been previously entered in a competition (including last year's event!).
- 24 prints will be submitted by each team.
- We ask that you do not submit images for this competition which have been substantially altered digitally. However digital processing is allowed to enhance the natural colours of a photograph, to improve tonal balance and sharpness and to remove blemishes.
Entrants and Scoring
- No more than two prints from any one member.
- Group Leaders may not submit pictures of their own.
- Maximum score of 10 points for each print, with half marks added to minimise the likelihood of a tie.
- The top 12 prints only from each Group count towards final scores. In the event of a tie, the team which has more members contributing its twelve prints will be adjudged the winner.
Group Leaders hope that as many members as possible will attend to support their team, rather than just those whose prints have been chosen.
