Instructions for anything new on the computer often look daunting, but in practice you are likely to find uploading images just about as easy as sending them by email.

Gallery pictures are usually your best photos, so take time to prepare them properly - for more see edit intro [www.onepoyle.co.uk/u3a_photo/main.pl?edit_intro].

File size (pixel dimensions) must be reduced to not more than 1024 pixels for the longest side and jpg quality (compression) needs to be such that file size is between about 125KB and 250KB - for more see upload instructions [compress] [www.onepoyle.co.uk/u3a_photo/main.pl?upload_instructions#compress].

To upload images, use update [update.pl] [new window] referring to easy upload [www.onepoyle.co.uk/u3a_photo/main.pl?easy_upload] or detailed upload instructions [www.onepoyle.co.uk/u3a_photo/main.pl?upload_instructions]

For security reasons, upload works only with an up-to-date recognised browser. If this gives you any difficulties, please contact Mike.

Where are my images?

Generally you upload for the gallery for a future month, whereas by default the gallery shows photos for the current month and the members gallery.

To see recently added images, type either your name or the gallery month (eg 201010 for October 2010) into the search box on any gallery page and click  display  Select a set-subject gallery if necessary.

I made a mistake when uploading. Help!

To make corrections or to delete a file, go to corrections [www.onepoyle.co.uk/u3a_photo/main.pl?rename_gallery]. Click on one of your own images to get a single image screen and click on that image to get the administration form. Complete the form in a similar way to the one for uploading.
