TUTOR QUALIFICATIONS

If you wish to apply to be a tutor in our company you should have a degree, certificate or other suitable qualification in your subject or a teaching qualification or proof of at least two years successful teaching experience. If you are unsure whether you are sufficiently qualified please contact us.

JOB PROFILE

• Being passionate about the language you teach
• Having a pleasant manner and being self motivated
• Enjoy working with people and helping others
• Good organisational skills
• Evening or weekend work suits you
• Have a solid knowledge about the language you teach
• Own car is essential to travel to the client's premises
• Have a qualification in the subject you teach or a qualification as a teacher
• Have a current valid CRB certificate or be willing to undertake a CRB check
• Being entitled to work in the UK

HOW TO APPLY

If you wish to become a tutor for Babble Language Training you need to send us your curriculum vitae and a covering letter stating why you think your are the right candidate for this role. Your curriculum vitae should include two addresses for the references from your current employer or the most recent student that you have taught.

SECOND STAGE

Once we have received your curriculum vitae we will invite you to an interview or inform you in writing that you have not been selected. If you are invited for an interview, please bring the following documents:

• Original teaching certificate / degree or certificate / degree of the subject that you would like to teach
• Passport
• National Insurance Number
• Recent invoice (proof of address)
• CRB certificate (if you have one)

PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Payment will be made after each lesson taught
• You will be self employed and responsible for your own tax
• Once you agree to take on a student you will be contracted for a minimum length of three months
• If you have received free teacher training from Babble Language Training you will be contracted to work for a minimum length of one year

OUR CLIENTS

Most tuition is one-to-one and offered at the client's house at his/her convenience. Our clients are children, GCSE, A-level, University students and adults who wish to learn a language to communicate at their favourite holiday destination or to be more confident in buying a house abroad. We also offer corporate training.
