TAILOR-MADE TUITION COURSES

Our method, based on a communicative approach to language acquisition, is highly practical and incorporates role-play, pair work activities, day-to-day simulations and audio-visual work. Conducted exclusively in the target language, training focuses on the development of key day to day communication skills such as self expression, conversing, handling telephone calls and writing. A solid grounding in the structure of the language is equally important. Through systematic grammatical input and vocabulary extension, attention is paid at entry level to accuracy and appropriateness in oral and written communication.

TUTOR QUALIFICATIONS

Tutors introduced by Babble Language Training are mainly native speakers of the language they teach. All tutors are highly qualified with a university degree, teaching certificate or professional qualification and come with good references. They are selected for their experience. Tutors have presented their current passport and national insurance number to Babble Language Training. All Tutors who work with children under 18 have been checked by the Criminal Records Bureau.

LANGUAGE NEEDS ASSESSMENT

First we shall clarify by telephone which language you want to learn and why. This will help us to select our most suitable tutor for you. Following this we will contact your tutor and he/she will telephone you for a quick chat to find out about your current level of knowledge and what your aims are in learning the target language. Your tutor will then prepare a suitable lesson plan, tailor-made to suit your needs.

WHAT LANGUAGES DO WE OFFER?

We specialise in ten major languages - German, French, Italian, Greek, Spanish and English as a foreign language, Czech, Russian, Chinese and Japanese, but if you would like to learn any other language please let us know and we will try to find you a suitably qualified tutor.

ONE-TO-ONE HOME TUITION

Individual tuition is the most time-effective way to prepare for a visit abroad either for holiday, business trip or to pass your GCSEs or A levels with more confidence. Every minute of teaching time will be devoted to achieving your goals in the language. Your tuition will be hard work and involve some homework, but it will be the surest way to develop your fluency in the shortest possible time.

PRIVATE GROUP HOME TUITION

This is for students who would prefer to share lessons and who know other students with similar needs, or we can try to match you with one of our current students.

GERMAN SPEAKERS CLUB

In the German Speakers Club you will have the opportunity to read out your prepared essays about any topic in front of a group, which will improve your confidence in speaking the language. If you do not have the time to write anything there will be more opportunity to speak German. We also read and discuss books or the daily news and chat informally about any interesting topics while we drink tea. Your German skills will improve and can be used for business situations and private occasions such as birthday and wedding speeches or just to communicate with your German friends. TRANSLATION

We translate business and private letters, documents and contracts in all languages.

INTENSIVE LANGUAGE COURSE ABROAD

We offer an intensive language course in Germany twice a year (summer and winter). We offer tuition in the mornings, and afternoon excursions, so our clients can see the country, experience the people, culture and food and communicate in the target language. FUN CLUB FOR AGES 3 TO 12

We teach German, Spanish and French language to children between the ages of 3 to 12 years old. An early start will give your children a good chance to develop and succeed with their language skills. Experience have shown us that the best result are gained when children learn through interactive group games, therefore we use flash cards, songs and games all combined for fun. MOCK EXAM AND EASTER REVISION

In April / May Babble Language Training will hold Mock exams for GCSE and A-level to provide the best possible preparation for your exams.

STUDENT EXCHANGE

CORPORATE IN-HOUSE TRAINING

We offer tailor made tuition for a company's needs and after every 20 hours there will be a progress report issued to make sure everything is according to plan. All our tutors are trained to teach a foreign language for business purposes. They will not only teach the target language, but also give valid advice about the culture and how to approach business people from different countries.

DISTANCE LEARNING

This is for students who would prefer to study on their own. The course material will be agreed in advance with the tutor, so that the tuition matches the student's requirements and level. The tutor can also set homework and assess progress where this is required.

The student's own study is supplemented by a weekly telephone conversation with the tutor. As well as providing an opportunity to ask the tutor questions and resolve difficulties, the telephone call also gives the student a valuable means to practise and improve his / her conversational ability.

BIRTHDAY AND CHRISTMAS VOUCHERS

The ideal birthday or Christmas present. You can choose how many lessons you wish to purchase and we will send a voucher.

LESSON DURATION

The minimum lesson length is 60 minutes and can be extended according to the student's requirements. We generally find that 3 hours a week increases the effectiveness of the tuition.

HOW DO I ARRANGE MY FIRST LESSON?

Simply give us a call or send us an email. We will allocate a tutor to you and your tutor will contact you free of charge by telephone in order to find out more about your current level of knowledge and what your aims are in learning the target language and arrange a date and time for your first lesson. This short conversation is valuable for the tutor and enables her/him to prepare a suitable tailor made lesson for your needs.

After booking your first lesson with Babble Language Training we will introduce a tutor to you and you can enjoy a first 60 minute lesson.
